How to join the merchant navy in India:-
There are two main profiles you can join the Merchant Navy.
Engineer:- You are joining to work as a cadet or junior engineer. Third engineer, second engineer, and chief engineer and the other positions. They take care of the engine, the boiler, the generator, etc. and ensure that all the board machines work well.
Cadet:- The career will begin as a Deck Cadet and the job is primarily to maintain and run the ship, tanks, cargo, etc. You can complete your B.Sc if you want to join as a cadet. B.Sc Marine Nautical Science, B.Sc. Catering at sea, etc. To pursue a career in the merchant navy, you should have PCM in class 12.
Eligibility
· You must take science physics, chemistry, and mathematics in your 12th class with at least 60 percent marks and you must have 50% marks in English.
· You must be unmarried to join merchant navy
· At the time of application, you must be at least 17 years old and not more than 22 years old. You must not be more than 25- 28 if you want to join after B.Sc / B.tech.
